Project Background
A University had developed the exploitation strategy for a novel coating that will inhibit bacterial growth, but needed to determine the most appropriate business strategy for ensuring that the spin out could be successfully funded. In addition the founders, who had not been involved in commercialisation of this nature needed support and help determine the appropriate applications to demonstrate the technology.
Burgundy Gold completed a review of the potential markets, commercial barriers, and opportunities for the technology and spent significant time with the academics, to mentor and coach them through the business set up process. The business plan has been carefully targeted to balance short and long term revenue opportunities and will be used to market the business to prospective funding sources.
