Project Background
A chemicals based SME that reognises the competitive advantage of using innovation to drive value from it's customer base, and the need to use a range of extrernal sources of help, commsioned Burgundy Gold to reduce the risks of their innovation process, by working on a retained basis to address particular project challenges in their research programme.
The Burgundy Gold network is used regularly to find the right partners and then secure funding support to take the solutions forward. For instance, the company had a particular formulation problem that needed specialist knowledge to resolve and so an appropriate independent consultant was found to assist the technical support team. In the meantime a University academic had a novel idea to improve the performance of another product in the portfolio and Burgundy Gold secured funding to support the research project.
